Citilab project launches Smart Citizens under the Smart City. The aim of this pioneering initiative at European level is to move the new paradigm of Smart City to the reality of citizens through the following lines of action:
- Educate about the concepts of Smart City, acting from Citilab as a "Centre of Interpretation of the Smart City."
- Generate innovative projects.
- Encourage a culture of entrepreneurship among young people.
- Involve the public in improving the city.
The Smart City means another step in the transformation of our cities from a holistic and integrated view of the city, to improve the quality of life of people and create new opportunities for economic development. A new paradigm emerges at a time of financial constraints, clearly aim at improving the environment and public involvement. The Smart City concept being promoted from academia, business and institutional.
Citilab according to their experience in the field of social innovation, wants to go one step further and apply skills "smart city" in the social field. Assets Citilab and the whole team becomes a good scenario to implement the project Smart Citizens.
The project includes training, workshops and Smart Citizens contest that recognizes the best ideas and proposals. This project includes three components designed to provide access to all citizens who are interested.
The capsule training
. 2h training to develop the Smart City concept and see examples of their application. Currently we have scheduled two sessions: April 24 and May 7.
Workshop on Smart Citizens S4A
. We 2h workshop on Scratch for Arduino combining the main elements of Smart Citizens. We have scheduled workshops: May 2, May 14 and May 21.
The contest Smart Citizens
. The aim is to reward the creativity and entrepreneurship of young people in the field of Smart City with a design competition recognizing the best initiatives.
