The aim of the european project Pelars
is developing work scenarios where evaluation elements like methods of obtaining data are
introduced to mesure in an objective way the impact of ITC in education of Science
, Technology and Mathematics subjects. In this development, the work scenarios design phase is incorporated, like the testing and data collection and their analysis. Under this project, Citilab want to participate in the design of the equipments, validate the models at college, support the final conclusions and disseminate the results at a european level.
All the stakeholders in education have no doubt that ITC produce a positive impact in it and policies are developed in this sense, but until now the evaluations and data are based on qualitative analysis. It is necessary the creation of work scenarios for the education in Science, Technology and Mathematics with elements that allow to obtain qualitative and objective data of how ITC impact in teaching these subjects to adapt policies, curricula and teaching methodologies with maximum efficiency. The main beneficiaries are schools and colleges in the region.
